Farhad Sadykov was born in 1994 and raised in Turkmenistan, but has been living in beautiful Saint Petersburg, Russia, for the past few years.
He is a member of the Russian Union of Art Photographers since 2016.
His works were entered in numerous exhibitions, both in Russia and abroad. Farhad has no special education in photography. He is self-taught. He takes all the photos first of all for himself and never takes pictures for commercial purposes. He is spontaneous as a photographer and his pictures are high-contrast, sometimes melancholic and exclusively black and white. He try to find personal meaning in everyday life through pictures he take. Photography is the way to deliverance himself from worries and fears.
In the past, Farhad was fond of documentary photography and his photo series “Metamorphoses” was awarded at many documentary photography competitions. But after getting acquainted with the work of such masters of photography as Elliott Erwitt, Saul Leiter, Fan Ho and Daido Moriyama, he changed his views on photographic art.
